For more than 75 years, long before it became fashionable, Alvita was championing the profound health-giving properties of herbal teas. We travel to the far reaches fo the globe for the finest herbs, the best growers, the most precious sources. Small wonder that so many consumers trust the Alvita name. Today, it stands for more than 100 different teas, including classic single herb varieties, and our unique Alvita blends. The package you hold in your hand combines ancient herbal wisdom with modern science, and brings to you all the richness and benefits of herbal teas. The philosphy is the very reason why you will find sensible, English pillow style tea bags that are oxygen bleached, not chlorine treated. And why you won't find any strings, tags or staples. We thank you for choosing our product, but more importantly, we thank you for the trust you've put in the herbal values that we all share. Alvita. Natural Herb Teas That Are Good For You And The Environment. One of nature's oldest legumes, Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) is known to be cultivated for over 2000 years. However, unlike most legumes, where only the seed is consumed, the entire Alfalfa plant (leaves, sprouts and seeds) is eaten by man. The Arabs, centuries ago, used Alfalfa as feed for their horses and claimes it made the animals swift and strong. When they tried the herb themselves they became so convinced of its benefits to their health and strength that they named the plant Al-Fac-Facah, meaning Father of All Foods. The Spanish later changed the name to Alfalfa. The roots of the Alfalfa plant burrow deep into the earth to reach minerals that are inaccessible to most other plants. Alfalfa naturally contains a variety of nutrients and enzymes. Made with recycled paper board.

The best way to make a good cup of tea is by the infusion method. Place one tea bag in a cup and add no more than 6 oz. of boiling water. Let steep for 3 minutes. Press the bag before removing to enhance flavor. Add honey to sweeten.
